Steve Wagner

I am an artist living in a the rural village of Brooklyn, just south of Madison Wisconsin. I grew up in Beloit Wisconsin and went on to study fine arts and graphic design at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.

My work is influenced by nature and the garden my wife and I have created at our home. I enjoy working in watercolor because of its unique transparent qualities that lets colors interact with each other in unexpected ways. I have been experimenting lately with creating the feeling of motion using overlapping shapes and textures.

I am a member of the Madison Arts Guild and the 14 South Artist group. My wife Sandy and I like the challenges of showing at art festivals. We have learned so much in the last four years and hope to see you at an upcoming event.
